Cytopia Records Label information

Cytopia.org’s home label Cytopia Records is mainly a web-based label for psychedelic and progressive trance and ambient/chill dub music. The music released is sold as a digital download on the website in CD quality .wav file and/or 320Kbps mp3, with earnings being added to artist accounts instantly.

Please get in touch with us via email or messenger so we can listen and give feedback on your music before uploading to the server. Music that has been agreed to be released can be uploaded to the website after an artist account has been made.

When registering artists must use their Paypal account as identification, and an online agreement will be generated. For those without Paypal a photocopy or scan of their passport will suffice as ID. This is necessary to make the contract with Cytopia legal.

Each time a track is uploaded, the artist will receive an online agreement for that track. Artists can choose the name, price, description, and graphics for the track. The earnings are dependant on the price, top earnings for artists is 60% at highest track price, as track price declines so do earnings, and this is to ensure Cytopia earns enough even if artists decide on low pricing for promotional reasons.

Once an Artist Cytopia account has 45 Euros or more in it, the artist may ask this amount to be transferred to their bank account.

Cytopia is able to offer the artists a percentage of every digital sale that is made as an instant transfer to their account. We are sometimes also in a position to make sublicensing agreements with CD labels, terms can be discussed individually.

How can I publish my tracks?

First of all we can not guarantee to get back to each person that uploads a track, to avoid disappointment please get in touch via email or messenger so we can meet and listen to some tracks to get an idea. Then to publish your tracks you need to first create an account with us and sign our online agreement. This includes an identification procedure during which you should either email us a scanned copy of your passport OR do a Papal credit card transaction (0.01$). Mastering Service (important please read)

All tracks released on Cytopia must be mastered professionally.

Some artists do great mastering themselves, and for those of you who can do it, you know who you are from experience of playing those mastered tracks on a PA system. If you don’t have the experience, then please get help from a professional. A good mix and proper mastering is a must for a quality end result and pleasant audio groove that will make people’s ears and hearts resonate in happiness and start to smile.
